Embossing Tools and Embossing Machines
Embossing is a method to accentuate a particular part to make it visible. It is a technique that creates a raised image or text on metals and non-metals using embossing powder, tools, dies, stamps and embossing stencils. Embossing letters and designs can be felt and seen on the surface. It adds an element of class and elegance by embossing your artistic creations.
Embossing tools are used for creating embossing text and symbols on metal surface. Designs created with embossing effects look more beautiful and eye catching as compare to simple ones. Embossing tool raises the pattern out-lines from the surface. These tools may include various embossing tools like embossing stamps, die embossing, punches and embossing machines.
Debossing is done using the same process but the surface is depressed. In other words it is inward embossing on the surface. Debossing effects can also be easily felt and seen.
Types of embossing and debossing
The following terms apply to both embossing and debossing.
A registered emboss is an embossed image that exactly registers to a printed or foil stamped image.
A blind emboss is an embossed image that is not stamped over a printed image or with a foil. The color of the image is the same as the metal or non-metal surface.
A combo emboss refers to an embossed image that is also foil stamped.
Glazing refers to an embossing that appears polished. Notably on dark-colored stocks, the heat and pressure is substantially increased to smooth and shine the surface. Using a very high temperature, light colored metal surface can be scorched so that the surface color changes.
There are three most commonly used metals for embossing dies and embossing tools are magnesium, brass and copper. The Metal to be used for embossing tool is determined by shape of embossed image and the length of the run. Large images and letters can be easily embossed with these tools. Brass is used for fine embossed lines, combo foil stamping and embossing. Brass dies are made by a machine or by a semi-photographic process. Copper embossing dies are used for designs between the parameters of brass and magnesium.
Embossing machines, powder, embossing tools, dies, embossing stamps and embossing stencils are in use for very old time. In early ages gold, silver, copper and bronze used to be embossed for decoration and jewelry. Now sophisticated embossing and debossing machines have developed for embossing and debossing metals and non-metals.

Know Your router - Choosing the Right Router for You
A router is the flight or milled from an area in the surface of a piece of wood. This tool is not limited to one application. In fact, it would be difficult to make the application of the router is the most commonly determined. Famous for its functionality and versatility, it is not surprising that the router is one of the most used woodworking tools on the market today. Champion edge router operations, and champion of folding, equip Mortising,Add box, gear and dadoing to name a few.
There are several types of routers available, each of which features, benefits and their own favorite applications. The most popular types of routers are fixed-base and the plunge-base router, each with its own set of advantages and disadvantages, which I will attempt to shed some light. Starting with the first born, is the fixed base router is a favorite of many craftsmen, because of the more simple, compact andversatile design and its relatively simple operation. In a fixed-base router, the engine is securely clamped into the base, and has a light weight design makes it easier to work and maneuver. Was built for stationary mounting and routing table, the fixed base router is generally better for the operation of gaming machines, injection molding seams and edges or patterns as the top-heavy to topple brother. For plunge cuts, but needs to be tilted to the fixed-base router, or into the workpiece, which can be angledProcedures difficult to master. Immerse yourself can cut much more difficult, with a fixed base router because the base is not fully supported, as the piece in the workpiece. These routers have a simple and precise depth adjustment systems. However, they must be stopped and reset between each cut.
Unlike the fixed-based router configuration, which have relatively little over time, the plunge-base router is changed in innovative design. The dive router is integrated so that the engine sitsatop two spring-loaded bodies, this feature allows the vertical movement that makes the low action possible. The vertical movement of the router basically immerses the cutter in your pieces without ever tilting or lifting of the tool allows users to get right in the middle of a workpiece without drilling or acrobatics. With the leap-base router, so that by cutting deep grooves and holes in general, much easier than with its fixed-base counterpart, butdespite a jump-base router is the best choice for applications that require more and deeper cuts, it is much more difficult and can be difficult to move and adapt. Understanding Router is right for you to be a long process. The following information will help you narrow down your search and determine which options best fits your router.
To start again with the fixed base router, Bosch offers a 2 HP (HP) min fixed-base router with a powerful 11 amps motor and 25,000 RPM. This router isbuilt with a precision centering design that it kept a lot easier, the bits of their intended cutting line. The 8.3-lb tool is designed with a macro-and micro-fine bit depth adjustment with resettable indicator of consistent precision. This system is always a quick and accurate depth setting and adjustment. Bosch also has a large opening in the base 3-3/4 (6in. base diameter) plus a 2in. Wider opening to accept background bits. For quick and easy reference guideChanges, there is also a tool-free template guide adapter. The router has a 1617-piece armature shaft for improved accuracy and long bit shank capacity.
Bosch fixed-base router also has a new dust sealed switch for increased durability and a right or left switch location for user preferences and comfort. The router has hardwood handles and a 10ft. flexible rubber cables. The 1617 belongs to the RA1161 Fixed-Base System for the bit height from above allows theRouter table. For added convenience, the firm's basic system even with threaded holes that they are mounted to connect to the router table (in Bosch four holes pattern, or the common three-hole pattern) possible. Bosch 1617 fixed-base router has ¼ inch and ½ inch SR collet chuck, a 16mm shaft wrench, 24mm lock nut wrench, tool-free template guide adapter, a chip shield, and fixed-base.
DEWALT 1-3/4 HP offers a fixed-base router with an 11 amp motor, 24,500 rpm, and enough electricity toEscape from the hardest wood. The tool has an advanced micro-fine depth adjustment ring, 1/64in the precise depth adjustments in minutes makes available. Steps and can be vertically adjusted for a permanent switch / cable set position. This vertical movement, but as spinning, matches with up and down action, as all routers do not turn the entire tool remains in the same position. For a fast and tight locking depth adjustments / base changes, the DW616 also has a strong and adjustabletool-free steel motor cam lock. A dust-deal keeps the counter free of dust and dirt improve their performance, durability and overall life expectancy. And with a right or left, switch and cable set position to keep the user has the option to switch to the right or left hand, increasing comfort and versatility. The tool is overmolded rubber grips, and a low center of gravity also contribute to the router "best-in-class is comfort, balance and control. The router cable kit is removable to provideReadiness and ability to the same motor pack for all bases to be used.
For easier bit changes DEWALT, this router has built with a flat top - and remove with quick release motor latches for fast and easy motor pack. The router has also long, self-releasing, eight slotted collets for better bit retention and eliminating frozen or stuck bits. A clear LEXAN sub-base (polycarbonate designed for strength and impact strength), delivers improved baseDurability and low visibility, and accepts standard template guide bushings. The base plate also has a concentricity gauge for best-in-class routing accuracy. With a heavy precision machined, die-cast aluminum base and motor housing is - the material is highly resistant and weighs only 7.1 kilograms. Has DEWALT's DW616 fixed-base router via a motor pack that fixed base stations, run-out gauge, ¼ and ½ in collets and two keys. The router can be bought as a kit(DW616K), the top with DEWALT 's heavy-duty kit box contains.
What does the plunge router is a Makita 3-1/4 in Plunge router with a powerful 15 amp motor with variable speed and options of 9,000 - 23,000 rpm. The router is equipped with variable speed routing option provides more precision and more accurately projects. The router also has a swiveling plunging more depth adjuster with three pre-set depth and a top handle depth adjustment to the tool to set specific routingDepth. For easy entry into your workpiece, the router also has a 0 to overthrow - 2-3/8 in depth capacity. Makita has an electric brake for quick stop bit, which helps also taken to prevent accidental marring of the working material. And with an electronic speed control, the tool keeps constant speed even under load. The plunge router 3612C also has a bit of deflector to chips and debris away from the operator and the workpiece held. The tool weighs 13.2 kilograms, is double insulated and has astrong, all ball bearing construction for the tool's overall life expectancy extended. After a wave of change lock for quick and easy bit, and a soft-start feature for smoother start-ups, Makita's router be equipped to handle all your jump-routing requirements. The 3612C includes a collet into ¼ pod in half and taper collet wrench.
DEWALT offers a Heavy-Duty 3 HP plunge router with a 15 amp motor, the soft-start technology for smooth functioning more advanced uses. The engine is alsoSolid shaft with variable speed, and runs min at 8,000 - 22,000 rpm. Buying a Circular Saw
Looking for a new circular saw? I am. I have an old, cheap, I bought her at Home Depot about 10 years, that just about had it with my torture. So, now I look at my options for a new saw purchase. If I go wireless? How much will I use it? What do I need it? How much power do I really need in my circular saw?
I spoke with my brother Joe about it. He is a contractor in Buffalo, New York and a big fan of DeWalt tools. He always goesfor top model in the quality of its tools. Joe said that cordless circular saws, if you are working on a roof or in places where there is limited or no access to power are good. Regarding the strength, Joey says that the newer cordless devices have nearly the power of corded tools. Almost, but not entirely, if not cut with them to design pieces all day long. Joe has both a wormdrive and a regular circular saw. He pulls his Skil HD77M wormdrive circular saw, if he needs to get through the big things. But if he is cutting 2x4's throughout the day, he uses the lighter DeWalt 368K. And for cutting up on the roof, he uses his DeWalt DC300K battery with a NANO battery. Joe said he was damned cold in the nano-technology, since it is in Buffalo and he wishes the reliability of lithium-ion batteries, which is just as well in cold temperatures. And the best part is that the> DeWalt Nano batteries are backwards compatible with all of his DeWalt cordless tools.
Hmmm. But what kind of saw do I want? Although I am not a businessman, I'm an avid do-it-yourselfers who has a sweet job as an editor of a blog tool. Yup, I get a big discount on the high quality of the instruments that bet on Tool King Superstore sells and you are, I have taking advantage of that! (shameless plug over, 0) But seriously, even if I did not get the discount,Tool King has the lowest prices, especially if you are under the renewed version (go, believe me, I am thoroughly checked). Tool King secret (for everything you are e-commerce) Wannabe "that it will purchase and use in large quantities by companies like DeWalt and Makita, and that they be treated in a cheaper price, then pass them on to their customers also known as:.
Anyhoo ~ back to my circular saw to purchase.
Electric vs. Cordless
I'm debating whether to go aCordless Circular Saw with or without wires. My husband and I bought the crappiest, smallest house in our neighborhood, so that we in the middle of rebuilding our entire home to be pretty. Since we both work full-time jobs, we are renovating in phases. We saw only last one crapped out on us on the project. We were framing a terrace with a 6x6 to lay paving stones. Poop, went our circular saw, she had had enough. As I said earlier, it was old, cheap, and Home Depot. Okay, maybe we werepress it a bit on the 6x6's but who does not push their tools to the limit of what they should be used? Especially homeowners, who typically do not have the wide range of tools that would have a contractor, or have (not always the "right tool for the job the right tool for this task would be a circular saw with a PRÄZI been beamcutter Appendix).
After a while the debate we have decided, with a corded circular saw or a lithium-ion battery powered goCircular saw, because we often go several weeks or months between projects. When will we have to use the circular saw, we want to use it now. Lithium-ion batteries have a long shelf life, which means that they remain free, even if it on the shelf in the garage (to sit in the cold) for several weeks. They are also very easy. So when we go wireless, we are for the lithium-ion battery circular saw. Makita makes a nice LiIon circular saw and you can get with the purchasetheir LXT700 18v Li-Ion Combo Kit. The LiIon circular saw in the LXT700 kit includes a 6-1/2 inch blade, but did not see 7-1/4, which is what we are looking for.
I walked into the store Tool King. King's business, the Tool have a huge setup, Doug and the boys re-designed the entire layout, so now you can touch and hold all the tools. I love that! You can really get a feel for which one you like best, because when it comes to options, there are a lot of high qualityTools available, but it feels better in your hands? Most of the contractor grade circular saws have a 15 amp, powerful engine, magnesium housing (for light and strength), at least 45 degree bevel capacity and excellent security. I picked up in person, each as if I do I use it, and check the position of the handles for comfort and how well my line of sight will be the blade.
These are the saws that I compared:
1. I tookThe DeWalt DW368K. Light weight of 9.5 kg is it stable enough to withstand a 1-story fall. The DeWalt DW368K also has a bevel of 56 degrees.
2. The Makita 5007FAK a little heavier at 11.1 kilograms, but has this cool on-board LED light and a ruler on the footplate. How often do you work in a room with the light in the back?
3. I am a big fan of the Bosch company, because everything I've learned about their power tool recycling program and otherpro-active environmental projects. The very nice feature of the Bosch CS20 (10.3 lbs) observed, their Direct Connect Cord Management System. The Bosch CS20 does not have a cable to your power cord into it. So you never have with the replacement of cables and threw your tools, because treating the umbilical cord divided. The Bosch CS20 is also a fan in the front that blows the sawdust out of the way as you cut so you can see where you deal. The Bosch CS20 also bevels at 56Degree.
4. Then there was the Porter-Cable 324MAG. Super easy to 324MAG weighs 9.6lbs. Out of the circular saw I saw only had the Porter-Cable brand an outlet for a vacuum system, a nice feature for working in the garage or in the house.
5. Milwaukee 6394-21 Tilt-lok makes. It is the most expensive of the federal government at $ 175, but has an exclusive deal Tilt-Lok, that is probably more adjustable than me. The Tilt-Lok on the Milwaukee 6294-21 adapting to 8different locking positions, making it easier to work on angles and overhead costs. The Milwaukee circular saw also has a 10-foot, Quik-Lok cord for easy replacement and the cord with a 3-horsepower engine is working as hard as my Polish carpenter father.
A good circular saw should be enough electricity to power through wet wood, without slowing down or cut dangerous setback. A good circular saw should also be lightweight and robust, because you accidentally let it fall to the ground. They shouldChoose a circular saw, on balance, maneuverability and on how it feels when you hold it. Good luck!

Cordless Impact Wrench - Not the Same Tool as Your Cordless Drill
The cordless impact wrench has rapidly in popularity among professional mechanics and the hobby mechanic as well. As you can imagine, "I already have a cordless drill, I use for impact applications, why do I need a cordless impact wrench, too?". I thought the same thing. The first difference is on the inside. A cordless drill creates continuous in-line torque. A cordless impact driver uses an internal spring-loaded pulsating cam to create rotational torque. This createsthe "impact" force that replaces a mother. It is the equivalent to a wrench with a hammer to beat a rusty nut only be solved much faster. Unlike a cordless drill - which creates continuous in-line torque, a cordless impact driver uses an internal spring-loaded pulsating cam and gear, a rotating torque, or the "effects to create" to force.
Another big difference is the lack of reactionary torque. Reactionary torque is what you experience with your cordless drill. You have to use bruteForce to keep the holes from spinning the opposite direction in his hand. With a cordless impact wrench, that torque is not directed at the mother's arm. You can keep this tool in one hand and let the cordless impact wrench to do all the work. No more pushing down on the tool and that screw drive. These instruments are also smaller and lighter than a cordless drill. For example, a DeWalt cordless impact wrench is about 35% of the size of comparable cordless drill. This property makesdifficult to get them perfect for all those overhead projects and up to, spaces.
The next time your starting deck, that big project in the backyard, let a cordless drill that into the box and pack your cordless impact wrenches. The arm will thank you at the end of the day.

Nails and Nail Guns
Nail guns are everywhere in the world. It comes in a variety of models. It is a good alternative to hammer works to make the work easier, more efficient, more accurate and faster.
The easiest nail gun used strings to use. It is very helpful to learn how it works and its basic mechanism.
When loading a nail, you have to glue it together, but loose in a long strip. The nail strips are fed into the barrel of the weapon. Then the spring will push the nail into the barrel. TheNail is separated from the strip, and then falls from the wood of the time the nail. After the hammer strained back, will be the next nail in the situation.
Solenoid acts like a hammer in a nail gun. At the time the trigger is pulled, the piston is attached to the sturdy blade. When the trigger is pulled, bringing the electrical circuit the current to the electromagnet and the piston extends downward.
There is a blade in contact with the nail. It forces the nail out of the gun. The pistonHits the electric switch, which is at the bottom of the cylinder. When the switch is thrown, it returns the current through the electromagnet. These electromagnets then sets back the piston in the position for another hit.
There is a special nail that need for a certain type of nail gun use. It is therefore important to learn about the different types of nails and know where you need it. The common ordinary nails are used in wood that does not need further processing. This is usuallyused on 2x4 cards. It is also used in all retreading efforts at home and the garage.
Casing nails are required for all fine work. These nails are used for cabinets and molding work. Finishing Nails Nails are replaced with housing, since they are both fine work at home. It has a round head, the nail may be completely submerged or not.
Common brad nail is a kind of good for small, light work. As housing nails, it is used for trim work. This is an easier wayshorter than common nails.
Box nails are like common nails with heads larger and larger shaft. This is used for the preparation and coating. These nails offers extreme holding power.
If you are from the budget and you believe everything that you can afford, is just a used nail gun. It could also be okay as long as you consider some guidelines in choosing a good condition gun. Choose the one that still works smoothly, ie it has no hiccups and no unreasonable receding, that may takePlace. When the nail gun with a spring mechanism to ensure, that the spring is not loose. Also make sure that all internal mechanism of the gun is still working well. To be sure, it can be until a service center.
Try it once or twice. Be careful not to burn the weapon with your hand or palm. Check the warranty still left. If you buy used cordless nail gun, make sure to leave the battery life, because you might buy a new battery and it could cost a lot.

Cordless Metal Cutting Tools
That's cute .....
The first time I saw a Panasonic EY3530 Metal Cutting Saw, I thought, "this is sweet, but I can not see, the thing is of real use on the job. I was wrong. During a visit to each job you are cordless metal saws in use in almost all the industries to be seen.
What are they?
Cordless hacksaws are just a cordless circular saw rotate a carbide tipped metal blade at the appropriate rpm. These saws are usually help an additional guardwith the metal shavings. These saws cut steel very clean and cool. One of my favorite stories is that the sales person to walk into an office customers and cutting a piece of threaded rod with the tool and threading a nut on before the customer could be through him. He sold many, many tools that way.
What can they cut?
Cordless saws can most metal including mild steel threaded rod, strut unit, metal siding, EMT tube, channel work, really cut a mildSteel. Blades for aluminum are also available. I've heard they are used on copper, not sure about that but highly recommended nonetheless. The most common use is for cutting threaded rod, strut, and EMT. When you cut are usually thin metal, blades with more teeth, you better cut available.
Who makes them?
